Heini Klopfer Ski flying hill

Oberstdorf / Germany

As part of the modernization of the Heini-Klopfer ski flying hill, one of the largest ski jumping facilities in the world, carried out for the 2018 Nordic World Ski Championships, the existing chairlift was replaced by a barrier-free inclined lift.

This will also move the "athletes village" for the jumping competitions from the top to the valley.

This is the third inclined lift at the ski jumping facilities in Oberstdorf.

The facility plays an important role in the touristic use of the ski jumping facility and serves as a climbing aid to the hiking trails around the Freibergsee.
